A painter of weather and interiors, Sana Qaiser builds her canvases in thin, insistent layers of oil until the surface behaves like light on water. Colour, in her work, is a form of memory.

She has exhibited in Karachi and Dubai, and keeps a studio near the old Cantonment railway line.
