Numaaish — نمائش, — is a contemporary Pakistani art platform. We find emerging artists, write about their work, and publish a digital gallery that anyone can walk through, from anywhere.

We started off with the mission to bring talented artists to the limelight and offer them a platform to showcase their works. By positioning ourselves as the bridge between the artists and buyers, we aim to make the process of displaying and buying art more easy, thoughtful, and satisfying.

Pakistan graduates a remarkable number of artists each year and absorbs very few of them. Without galleries willing to take a risk, without writing, and without a public archive, careers end quietly for reasons that have nothing to do with the work.

Discoverability is not a marketing problem. It decides who gets a second show, who gets taught, and who is still painting in ten years.

Our vision is unglamorous and long: a growing, accurate, well-written archive of contemporary Pakistani art — free to read, easy to search, and beneficial for admirers of art anywhere around the world.

The platform is run by a small editorial team led by its founder - Samin Alam Qureshi. Her exposure to art is raw, her lens is fresh, and her pen is strong.

Samin Qureshi is passionate about curating digital spaces. Her career as a writer for various niches has paved her way back to the art world where she plans to leave her mark. Her critical art reviews, observations, and recommendations for art buyers all make up the core essence of Numaaish.
